Driving skillfully from the tee is very essential in golf. Let’s take a look at some golf driver tips that may help you get more distance and better control of the ball.

It’s no surprise that many golfers look for golf driver tips for improving ball distance and accuracy. With greater length, birdie or eagle possibilities get better. And with accuracy, strokes are not lost due to slices and hooks.

To achieve both distance and accuracy, the set up must be correct. By keeping a comfortable knee flex with feet shoulder width apart the ball address position will be in an athletic posture.
By the coiling and uncoiling of the body distance off the tee is maximized with greater clubhead speed. Making this happen without knee flex is about impossible.
So by remembering this golf tip to flex the knees, driving length will be increased. Standing too tall will cost you a great deal of power and distance.

Be certain to maximize optimum driver results of length and power by playing the ball slightly forward in the stance at set up. To be exact, avoid setting up to the ball in the center of the stance, and instead, set the golf ball more forward to the leading foot. The driver now can be swung on a correct path for maximum power into the golf ball.

Lesser mentioned of golf tips is that in starting the backswing, it does not commence with the hands but with the turning of the shoulders, followed by the hips. So, therefore, to get maximum length from the tee a correct shoulder and hip turn is required. As a succession of movement, the hip and shoulder turn is then followed by the arms and hands.

Reaching the top of the backswing the hips commence a pivotal role for the next action. With a slight shift of the hips to the target and their rotation the downswing commences, with the shoulders, arms and hands following in that order. With practice in correct turning of the hips, noticeable gains will be seen in your driver distance.
For insuring better accuracy, a notable driver golf tip is to allow the hands to follow the clubhead at ball impact. In doing so, the driver club face can be kept relatively squared while striking the golf ball; otherwise, you’ll get a curve ball.

Playing with an improper grip can play a large role in striking bad golf shots. Gripping the club so that the club face is not square at impact can only mean the grip is too weak or too strong. More dependable golf shots can be made with a grip that is neutral; the goal is keeping the face from closing or opening.

Keeping with the subject of accuracy, a square stance at address is a traditional golf tip. Consider moving the forward foot up or back if required but normally a square set up is the most desired. Take notice of your hips and shoulders as they also should be squared. Better direction will be improved with a better set up.

Take note, finally, of the new larger drivers with the 460cc heads. With the larger heads and longer shafts they may feel heavier. So, in regards to those who might try out a larger driver…. practice…practice…practice! The newer larger drivers need time on the range for they do require newer skills to get the most benefit.
