Although it’s easy to find golf tips for beginners on the Internet, many articles and books skip over a few  areas that are important for new golfers. Here a few of the lesser-known golf tips for beginners.

First and foremost, it’s essential that you select the right clubs. Children and juniors need clubs that are sized properly for their height. Many young players try to learn with their parents’ clubs, but this is not the best way to master the skills younger players need, and may even lead to bad swing habits.

Basic rules and simple etiquette on the golf course is sometimes overlooked in other golf courses. A common example of this is that many newbies to golf do not know how to enter and leave a sand trap.  They may be unaware of the reason why the rake is lying there, or that they are violating  a rule if they ground their club. This is where a more experienced golf buddy can assist. They should explain to beginners the rules and etiquette as they go along.

Some new golfers try to teach themselves golf swinging tips. This can lead to a lot of frustration. A few lessons from someone who knows the mechanics of a good swing is an essential to new golfers. You would save yourself a lot of time an effort if you learn from a pro how to set up properly, how to execute a good swing and be constructively criticized or corrected on the spot.

The takeaway is extremely important to new players some new players whip the club back with their hands not realizing that the correct takeaway for any golf shot is critical to the rest of the swing. Beginners have to realize that they do not have to bring the club back fast to make a great shot.

Body rotation is another problem area for many new players. The proper way to bring the club back is to allow the shoulders to turn while maintaining a square club face, followed by the hips. At the top of the backswing, the hips begin the process of the downswing, not the hands.

The importance of the follow through is often neglected in golf tips for beginners. Not all shots require a full follow through.  A first consideration for anyone new to the game of golf is knowing when to have a full follow through and when not to.

A fairly common novice mistake is to try to stop short on the follow-through. This awkward motion can affect the overall performance of the shot. Most players do this because they want to lift their head to watch the ball. Avoid that urge and continue your follow-through until it is complete.

One cannot say it enough, that practice is the most important tip for beginners in golf. The game is a hands –on training game, you learn as you go along. And special traing must be given to all the clubs, not just the driver, and this includes the putter as well. The golf swing would never be mastered unless enough time  and energy is  devoted to learning each club and how your swing affects it.

Apply these tips  if you are a beginner to golf and you would in time master the proper golf swing needed in every instance.
