The Importance Of Golf Swing Drills
Every golfer worth their tee considers golf swing drills to be the one common and single factor that is responsible for turning a handicapped golfer to a pro. The most common question that any amateur golfer asks or piece of advice that an amateur seeks off the pro is related to the various forms of drill that would help improve the swing.
After gaining all this knowledge and its many instances of asking there is a big vacuum though in finding golfers both amateur and pro alike practicing these drills at the range or the course. It is therefore right to assume that this drill is practiced in isolation atones garage or office space maybe? For the amateur the swing is the first and only action that would help make contact with the ball and the learner is made to believe that by improving the swing is all that would be required to perfect this very difficult task.
Even after the amateur has gained some experience and more occasions of the club making contact with the ball, there are stages where the amateur considers that a faulty swing is causing his handicap. Drills are once again considered to be the remedy for correcting this error. But the fact is that a swing, howsoever ideal it maybe in theory could yet be a failure in real golf if it does not conform to the laws and physics of a golfers body. It is better to learn the stance required to execute the swing rather than spending hours in swinging motion.
Golf swing drills are good if limited to just a few as a method of bettering ones shots. If the swing adheres to the laws of physics and the human physical form, then the drills are just not that essential. It is more advisable to play on the greens rather than practice in isolated garages and office rooms.
